Operation Kyekyewere is YOUR fundraising event!
This hole is about 8x10 feet and is just as deep as it is long. It was dug by the government to replace the toilets that were used by the school children before they became too unsafe. There's no fencing to prevent children or elders from falling into this pit during hours of reduced visibility.
These toilets are no longer safe for the children so they are not allowed to enter them. They relieve themselves on the ground next to this structure, adding health concerns to the community as well. This is in the heart of the village, surrounded by stores and homes.
As depicted, the exterior of the toilet facilities reveals the danger and safety risks to all the residents of the village.
Thank you so much for helping us help those in need. Your gifts will not only improve the quality of needy children and elderly of Kyekyewere Village but could also save the lives of many who live and visit there.
This hole is approximate 8'x10' and is behind the outdoor toilet at the primary school in the center of the village. The hole was dug by the government to replace the existing unusable toilet. Unfortunately COVID stalled the project, and it was never revisited. The hole is a safety hazard for all children in the village. Funds are sought to complete the construction of the new toilets.
This facility has two rooms for boys and two for girls. It has been closed for safety reasons and was in the process of being replaced. This one need to be dismantled and replaced so that the dangerous hole in the ground can be utilized.
Please select the donate button and give what you can. Also, stay tuned for updates for the next project. Thank you for being a part of the effort to improve health and safety for the children and elderly in Kyekyewere Village, Ghana.
